I build 29” wheels, one at a time, by hand, out of my shop in Western Colorado. I’ve been building wheels for 11 years, and specializing in 29” wheels since 1999. I've built over 4000 29"-specific wheels in the last 7 years, and have ridden 65,000+ off-road miles on 29" bikes (all on wheels that I’ve built) in that same time frame--odds are I've got experience with the rim/spoke/hub combo you're considering, and can steer you in the right direction if you aren't sure.

Choosing the right components is critical, and once that’s done I can concentrate on proper lubrication, appropriate lacing, precision truing, de-stressing, and balancing the tension. A few days later your wheels will arrive at your door, professionally packed and insured for their full value against damage in transit.
